【CCIC Traceability Case】NEW ZEALAND MILK POWDER

发布时间:2016-11-14

THE CASE

In September, NuZtri milk powder, imported from New Zealand and traced via the CCIC traceability system, started being shipped to China with previous verification and supervision managed by CCIC Traceability. At arrival, the customs of Shenzhen cleared the batches of milk powder within only 3 days, because relevant traceability information was already available on the on-line CCIC Traceability platform before the arrival of the goods.

SOLUTIONS

      1. CCIC inspection was carried out at the place of origin and before the shipment of the goods; it included examination of producer qualifications, Chinese label assessment, facility audit, loading supervision, supervision of the traceability anti-counterfeiting code application. Afterwards, a detailed CCIC Origin Inspection Report was issued.

      2. Producer information, quality certifications, logistics data and supervision evidences were archived in real-time on the CICC traceability service platform.

OUTCOMES & BENEFITS

      1. The China Inspection and Quarantine bureau (CIQ) verifies consistency of the goods information at the entry port with the CCIC inspection results, then implements quick inspection and release of the goods. As a result, the time frame needed for customs clearance is significantly reduced.

      2. Consumers obtain information such as place of origin, product quality and producer details, by scanning the traceability anti-counterfeiting code on the packaging. This allows to easily discern a genuine product from a false one, and enhances consumer health and safety.
